My co-worker brought in a kitten that was born in his barn and whose mother had left behind. He had fed her with an eye dropper but needed someone to care for her. Although I considered myself a "dog" person, I live alone and thought it unfair to leave a dog alone during the day, but cats are self-entertaining so I agreed to take the kitten. Now, Kicia is full grown and thinks she is a dog. She fetches, she sits and comes on comand and she speaks. She's learned how to say "mama". She rules the house and back yard and I've become a "cat" person - I wouldn't have it any other way!
