We were at the humane society searching for a forever canine companion for my boyfriend's mom. In that search, my boyfriend and I came across a very sickly five week old, one pound kitten. She continuously meowed but her voice was muted by all the large dogs barking in the room. We simply couldn't leave her there, so instead of a dog for his mom, we came home with a new kitten. Crash was very ill and malnourished -- three different parasites in her stomach, a heart murmur and anemic from all the fleas, ear mites, upper respiratory infection, herpes in one eye, etc. But against all the odds, she made a full recovery. Crash will we be three years old this year and she's not only the perfect kitty, but she's also in perfect health. Crash and our dog, Barkley, are the best of friends and we look forward to their continued mischief for many years to come.
