Kitzi was a pregnant stray who showed up at the home of a kind woman in the next town who fed her everyday. One morning the woman discovered Kitzi had had a litter of five kittens during the night. Three of them were adopted right away, and the woman took Kitzi and the remaining two to a local animal hospital to be boarded until they were adopted. I went to the hospital with a friend and her cat and fell in love with Kitzi right away. The time had come for me to adopt a longed-for cat. She stole my heart from that day and we bonded immediately. She has been a loving and funny companion for the last 13 years, my life has been enriched beyond measure by this beautiful calico.
